Sauna, synonymous with health

The Finnish sauna has long been a custom of hygiene and health among the inhabitants of the Nordic countries of Europe, and it still takes place today on a daily basis.

A "ritual" connected to nature

There is no house in Finland that does not have the special all-wood room with benches upon which one can lie down for a beneficial steam bath created by red-hot stones placed on a stove and doused with water with the classic ladle and pail.

It is a natural method for strengthening the body, appropriate for all ages.

A correct treatment eliminates the toxins that have accumulated and the physical and mental fatigue, improves metabolism, purifies the arteries and the respiratory tract, and prevents cellulite thanks to an improved elasticity of the skin.

The right way to use a sauna

1 Before beginning the treatment, we suggest that you take a refreshing shower

2 sit in the sauna on the bench, letting your uncovered skin perspire. Every once in a while, use the ladle to pour water from the pale onto the red-hot stones to generate steam and to increase body perspiration.

3 exit the sauna, take a cold bath or shower and if possible, swim (with a bathing suit)

4 return to the sauna for a second session

5 exit the sauna to wash your body thoroughly with cool water.

6 rest in an airy space for about 20 minutes, drink tea or juice

precautions

there are no particular contraindications if there are no serious illnesses present such as cardiopathy and epilepsy.

A medical check-up is suggested for pregnant women.
